Construction of a new sea lock

15 January 2024

The Proril submersible dewatering pump models TANK 355, 475 and Smart Base 400 are playing a crucial role in the construction of the new sea lock Terneuzen. This sea lock is expected to improve maritime traffic, increase the efficiency of shipping operations, and provide a safer and more reliable route for vessels to the port areas of Ghent and Terneuzen, located on the Ghent-Terneuzen Canal.

During the excavation phase of the project, these pumps help lower the water level, making it easier for heavy machinery and workers to access the site and excavate the seabed.

The Proril submersible dewatering pumps are designed to be durable, energy efficient and environmentally friendly. They are helping to ensure that the project is completed on time and within budget.
